I love the Xmen, I won't beat around the bush. There are so many mutants, heroes and anti-heroes that you relate can to at least one of them. The franchise has had its ups and downs. The first two films made the superhero genre what it is today. Stunning set pieces, breath taking special effects and a group dynamic that was brilliantly cemented in the second film. The third struck a middle ground where the spectacle overshadowed the narrative but was still a fun ride, and the last title Xmen Origins: Wolverine, was the only miss-step in the series. Xmen first Class is really very good. It manages to keep up with the first two whilst retaining an originality in its own right.
The Direction is great, Vaughn's clearly got a knack for angles and keeping the audience engaged whilst the story chops and changes. The look of the film is modern, yet still has a 60's and almost retro look about it. The special effects are very good, though some how not quite up there with Xmen: The Last Stand. The energy is fast and relentless and the action sequences blend in with the dialogue sequences seamlessly.
The acting is very good, though Patrick Stewart and Ian Mckellen are definitely missed, McAvoy and Fassbender do excellent jobs and really are in keeping with the characters you already know and love. Emma Frost and Sebastian Shaw are deliciously malevolent and Moira Mctaggart is perfectly pitched. My only reservation about the acting in the film is of Mystique, who I believe wasn't quite right, her motives in the film don't seem in complete continuity with the rest of the films.
A sequel has already been planned and I shall be eagerly awaiting it. Having Storm back in the series would be a personal highlight for myself, but not necessary. I would highly recommend this film to anyone that has watched the original films and even for newcomers.
One thing I will add that I have noticed since watching the original trilogy is that in 1980 Charles is walking, but according to First Class he loses this ability in the 60's...

"Super 8" is another intriguing monster movie by J.J. Abrams. Yes, you really wanna know what it looks like but I'm not gonna tell you. The sad thing is it's not as intriguing as Cloverfield. But It's easy to ignore that problem because there is something better than being another Cloverfield. It feels like you are watching a good old classic movie. Great characters, Good old fashion score, and kids intrigued by the situation.
The story is really about the characters' zombie movie making and the family tragedy while there's a monster attacking their town. The monster is like the background or the subplot of this film. But the movie still got suspense. The movie is indeed beautiful and plenty of heart. The movie is just nostalgic stuff. It's not trying to be new. It just wants to show how J.J. Abrams is inspired by Steven Spielberg's movies.
There are some amazing scenes in this film. Example, the train collision was breathtaking. The movie sure has a lot of humor. It's like a relic to the old family movies. The CGI is good enough. The performances were good. The kids gave a lot of personality to their roles.
"Super 8" is a J.J. Abrams film with Spielberg's trademarks all over it. It's not a blockbuster that has a lot of action and less talking. This movie is made in old fashion style. Yep, this movie is nostalgic if you saw Spielberg's old movies and it's good to see another one like it.

Naturally, you are only going to get close to the 400-watt maximum output with a steady 28 mph wind. But the unit won’t “go up in smoke” at that point as some reviewer said — all wind turbines have built in cut-out system that prevent them from going over their rated output and being damanged. C’mon, folks… the people who make these things are not dummies.
But it’s true that there are not many places in the world where you get 28 mph winds blowing on a regular, continuous basis. The suggestion of other reviewers to figure on getting maybe a 15 mph average wind speed with output from the wind generator of 50 to 60 watts at 2 to 3 amps is a realistic evaluation of what most people can expect out this or any other small wind turbine on a fairly regular basis. On days when you’ve got more wind, you luck out and get more power is all.
That’s why, for most people, the first alternative power choice is amorphous solar panels (they continue to work on cloudy days and with partial shade) because you can rely on the sun on a day to day basis more than you can on having a good steady wind consistently. The manual for this product states that the blades should start turning in a 7 mph wind, which is just a good breeze. I have this wind generator hooked up to 8 6 volt deep cycle batteries powering my 2 bedroom off grid home. we run 2 televisions dvd players and compact flourescent lights for bedrooms and kitchen without having to turn on our generator. We dont have a microwave, and our refrigerator runs on propane. But after using our loud generator for 2 months at $15.00 for gas on a daily basis, The machine will pay for itself quickly, The noise is minimal.The sounds it makes reminds me of birds chirping. You could not use it to run vacum cleaners washer dryers and things like that but if you need a little energy for lighting and small appliances this wind generator is great.

I mounted my wind generator to the top side of the house that I am renting. The house happens to be in an area where there is a lot of wind on windy days. I did have some problems finding materials to mount to the side of the house. I could not find a 2″ O.D. tube that the generator would fit onto. I did find a 1-3/4″ O.D. tube that is used for electrical purposes. The tube is galvonized steel, light weight. I used some gasketing to make up the 1/4″ that was needed to securely fasten the generator to the tube. I then cut an extension cord and wired one end to the leads on the generator. I ran the remaining 50′ into the basement through a hole in the foundation that I drilled. The generator spins up and works! I am waiting for a windy day to start generating some electricity

My Review on Rabbit Air BioGS SPA-421A

I was looking around found a HoneyWell air purifier with great reviews but it was just plain ugly (donut shape 90′s beige PC color) I couldn’t picture that thing in my house let alone in my room where I would see it every night. So I started looking for a more visually appealing one which led me to RabbitAir BioGS SPA-421A airs top of the line model which goes for $550 ouch.
So i wanted to buy one and i found out that Amazon has a Free Shipping Program and the Rabbit SPA-421Awas $329.95 so i got my Rabbit from Amazon.
How wrong was I?
It didn’t take my long to realize that there are a few important things to keep in mind when buying Air Purifier These are:
1) It had great technical reviews on allergy websites.
2) It is very power efficient to run.
3) Its pre-filter and charcoal filters are washable (don’t pay any attention to the reviewers who say they aren’t) .
4) It is very quiet .
5) You only have to replace the hepa filter every 1.5 years or so .
6) It is attractive, at least by the standard of most air purifiers .
7) It covers quite a large square footage.
I live in a house with three dogs, and the air in my bedroom where I have this unit is significantly cleaner. I was uncertain that it was really working until I had it unplugged one night while the filters were drying after a wash, and I woke in the morning all stuffed up and sniffling. I run it in pollen mode most of the time, due to the advice of another reviewer here, and I agree that that is the mode that works best.
Cons are the cost of course, and also, I think, some past shady behavior by the company that produces it, a least according to some (maybe biased, I don’t know) information I have seen on the web. But I have been very satisfied with the unit, and if it lasts 2 years I will count it well worth the somewhat high cost.
